Jal cyclone updates from indian meteorological department (IMD)

Tamil Nadu, and Andhra Pradesh coastlines are bracing for Cyclone JAL. It has been moving along the eastern and northern coasts of Sri Lanka.
A depression that had formed over the Bay of Bengal has turned into a cyclone is moving towards the westwards. Cyclone JAL is expected to cross the east coast by Sunday.Heavy rainfall with 60 kms per hour winds is expected to lash the coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema and Tamil Nadu

CAT 1 means Severe Cyclonic Storm strength winds of at least 74 mph, 119 km/h or 64 knots 1-min sustained.
TS means Tropical Storm strength winds of at least 39 mph, 63 km/h or 34 knots 1-min sustained.
